On December 20th, four devotees representing IDVM-India travelled from Sri Dham Mayapur to arrange two village programs in the District of Howrah as part of the Sri Govinda Gau Gram Prachar Yatra pledge to reach 108 villages during the Golden Jubilee of ISKCON before the end of the year 2016.
The two villages visited were Gajankole and Bainchi where devotees have been preaching since many years. Close to 150 devotees attended the programs in both villages. The devotees performed Nagar Sankirtan and held both a Gita Yajna and Go Puja. They also spoke on the importance of the Bhagavad-gita and Cow Protection and at the end of the programs distributed Krishna prasadam to all in attendance.
