By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna, IDVM-India successfully conducted a course entitled “Varnashrama and Krishna Consciousness” in Sri DhamMayapur. The course was conducted by HG Hari kirtan Prabhu, who is very actively involved with IDVM-India since its inception. The course was organized for five days (12th – 16th February 2018).
The objectives of conducting such courses by IDVM-India are as follows;
- To clarify the misconceptions about Daiva Varnashrama Dharma.
- To educate ISKCON devotees about Daiva Varnashrama Dharma as instructed by Srila Prabhupada.
- To bring awareness about on-going preaching efforts by IDVM-India in connection with Daiva Varnashrama Dharma.
The course was attended by YadhavaHariPrabhu and Kishora Krishna Prabhu from Indonesia, KumudaksaPrabhu from Cambodia, NirmalaMataji from New Zeland, and a few other devotees. The course was conducted at Mayapur Institute’s new campus (about 15 minutes walking distance from the TOVP).
Below are the topics covered in the course:
Day 1: Introduction to Varnashrama and Krishna consciousness.
Day 2: Varnas and ashramas, and women.
Day 3: Varnasrama Communities ISKCON fulfilment & FOURTH PHASE PREACHING.
Day 4: Education first! Food first!
Day 5: The real wealth.
After attending these sessions many devotees’ doubts and misconceptions about Varnashrama Dharma were clarified. They got inspired and would like to know more about this matter and would like to implement in their lives. A few of comments/feedback from participants are appended below:
