Devotees covered the 107th village on December 30th by pouring the mercy of Lord Caitanya’s Harinam Sankirtan to the residents of Nerada village in the State of Telangana. Some new devotees from Hyderabad area joined them for the first time, Shravana Mangala prabhu and Satyahita prabhu thus making their debut in village preaching. Devotees held enthusiastic Harinam and distributed books as well as many Panchagavya products to the receptive audience of some 150 strong. We had long nagar sankirtan. Go puja and classes on Harinaam and on Gomata and Prasadam distrusted to all.
On this event, we also found an amazing old man. He spends his whole time in temple and he goes for grazing his cow daily. All the time he chants holy name. His cow gives 2 liters of milk which he takes and serves in temple. He was so curious to read our books. But he has no money. So he requested a small book for 10 min and started reading fast to give it back. Gour gopal prabhu got inspired by his mood and gifted a Bhagavat Gita.
Tomorrow will be the historical closing of the Sri Govind Gau Gram Prachar Yatra as devotees will reach their target of 108 villages offered to Srila Prabhupada in commemoration if ISKCON’s Golden Jubilee Year.
