His Holiness RP Bhakti Raghava Swami visited Bhakti Sangam Festival in Ukraine during his recent visit to Russia and Ukraine. He was staying there in the house neighboring with those of HH Niranjana Swami’s and HH Shivarama Swami’s. There was a restaurant functioning with very qualified cooks who cooked for all the important guests.
HH Bhakti Raghava Swami liked very much the organization and the atmosphere of the festival. He had an opportunity to give evening lectures on dharma sastra, traditional education and cow protection. On each subsequent lecture more and more devotees were attending. This is an indication of interest on part of devotees.
There was increased demand in knowing more about cow protection and simple living. Maharaj was highly demanded for getting his personal darshans. His schedule was very tight and so many devotees were eager to talk to him.

Maharaj had a joint meeting with HH Shivarama Swami, HH Bhaktivaibhava Swami, HH Niranjana Swami, HH Chandramouli Swami, HH Badrinarayan Maharaja and HH Demavrita Swami.
After each lecture by Maharaj, there were his books distributed by cow protection fund “Mother”.
Maharaj has noted an interest on part of devotees in cow protection issue which requires establishing a long-term perspective on the development and promotion of this noble cause.
There has been established an agreement with “Mother” cow protection fund in Ukraine and Russia to go hand in hand with “OM Sri Surabhi Campaign”.
Maharaj has expressed his willingness to come to Russia and Ukraine next year. In view of interest to this topic, there will be promoted a slide show and the films on cow protection translated into Russian.

The annual Bhakti Sangam Festival is surely the most amazing event on this planet, with so many Maharajas and preachers sharing their realizations in seminars, and the evenings are spent in most sublime kirtans. Last year’s Bhakti Sangam festival in Ukraine was cancelled due to the political situation in the country. So this year’s festival is especially important to the many devotees in the country. They are relishing each other’s association, spending the time chanting, dancing and hearing spiritual discourses by senior devotees. In a country with political instability, fighting on the eastern front and an economic crisis, Ukrainian devotees are taking shelter of Krsna’s holy names at the Bhakti Sangam Festival in the countryside near Shatsk.

When is the festival this year in Ukraine after Janmastami ? I would like to come if I can afford it. Booking flights in advance is less expensive.
