Mission Statement

The launching of the Oṁ Śrī Surabhi Campaign invoking “global auspiciousness” centering on the Surabhi Cow, our Universal Mother, is an initiative of the ISKCON Daiva Varnasrama Ministry (IDVM) of India in collaboration with the Global Village Initiative Committee (GVIC), one of several global initiatives under the GBC/SPT.

From January 1, 2015 to November 2, 2027, we will be commemorating an unprecedented series of ISKCON Golden Jubilee events centered on our Universal Mother the Surabhi Cow, the very foundation and backbone of the Vedic culture.

The message we wish to convey is simple yet profound and sublime: the urgent need to give total and absolute care, protection and maintenance to our Mother Cow who supplies all of humanity’s necessities of life.

We have become so callous and misguided that we have forgotten how by neglecting our Mother Cow, we are committing the most heinous and unlawful acts that are destined to bring about, without a shadow of doubt, our imminent destruction.

Every act of cruelty to our Mother Surabhi is bringing us closer to a global catastrophe. There are universal laws of nature that we must respect, failing which we must reap the heavy and dreadful reactions.

We must know for certain that our present legislative policies and decisions supporting the slaughtering of our Universal Mother Cow is a gross deviation from the universal laws of nature and must bring impending calamities of a most severe nature. We have crossed the limits of nature’s way.

Our twelve year marathon invoking global auspiciousness to adopt the Surabhi Cow as our Universal Mother aims at giving total protection to all forms of life, beginning with our Mother Surabhi who is the emblem of peace, prosperity and all auspiciousness.

By protecting our Mother Surabhi we serve saintly persons, the brahmanas, and by serving saintly persons we serve and protect the entire world.

Let us create all auspiciousness by adopting the Surabhi Cow as our Universal Mother.

We invite you to become part of this noble effort to help bring auspiciousness by again placing Mother Surabhi in the center of our lives. By serving our Mother Surabhi we will bring happiness to the Lord and when Lord Krishna is pleased the whole world becomes happy. Hare Krishna.
