IDVM Sets up OM Sri Surabhi Campaign National Office

His Holiness Bhakti Raghava Swami, Minister, IDVM (India) inaugurated the national office of OM Sri Surabhi Campaign at West Marredpally, Secunderabad, Telangana South India on 3rd February 2019. 

The event started with Go-Puja, unveiling OM Sri Surabhi Campaign plaque. Around 80 prominent gou-sevaks attended the program. An array of posters depicting different aspects of Mother Surabhi- her spiritual significance, importance in the field of Health, Agriculture, Alternate Energy & Environment Protection- was on exhibition.

A small “Library” was also set up for disseminating the information related to Mother Surabhi.

Speaking on the occasion, H.H. Bhakti Raghava Swami stressed upon the urgent need for the devotee and general public to inculcate cow culture based on land, cows and Krishna. Maharaj also pointed out the perils of modernization of agriculture including the use of harmful chemicals to grow food. He suggested a safer and healthier alternative of agrarian practices which was prevalent during the Vedic period and also till recent times in India.

Swami Pranavatmananda of Arsha Vidya gurukul recollected the events of mass protests by people of the state when a mechanized slaughterhouse was set up near Hyderabad about 23 years ago. He urged all the people to unite, setting aside their political and philosophical differences for the cause of Mother Cow. He pointed out that Mother Cow is the single most uniting factor of all the people in India.

Sri Mahant Kamalesh Das reminded that all the Vedic literature extolled the glories of Mother Cow, he said there cannot be any Vedic practice without Mother Cow.

Sri Yadigiri Rao, VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad), South India’s Regional Head for Goraksha briefed the audience about the different resolutions passed during the recently concluded “Dharma Sansad”, the apex body of saints and sadhus of India during the Kumbh Mela at Prayag Raj.

HG Damodar Dulal Prabhu, Minister of ISKCON Cow Protection Ministry and National Co-Director of OM Sri Surabhi Campaign demonstrated the positive effects of cow ghee and cow dung on humans exposed to harmful radiation emitted by cell phones.

Different programs and upcoming projects of OM Sri Surabhi Campaign were briefed by HG Sri Rama Prabhu, Continental Director (Asia) of the Campaign. The program ended by devotees partaking sumptuous prasadam.
