Go Gramma Prachar Yatra at Tothapalem Village

Tothapalem is a village close to Chirala known for handlooms and weaving. The other name for this place is Weavers colony. There is some agriculture but hundreds of families are involved in weaving. This village is one of biggest contributor for well known Chirala textile industry.

After a short grama kirtan in the village we arrived a small house of a devotee Bhakta Subbarayudu who hosted the program. Unfortunately there isn’t a single cow in the village, so there was no go puja. After a small kirtan there was discussion on the purpose of human form of life and role of mother cow in the society. Villagers attentively heard the message. Oath was taken for protecting and serving cows and prasadam was served profusely. Some villagers came forward to keep cows if we could donate them. One round japa of mahamantra was also chanted. Wonderful thing was astonishingly 89 Bhagavad-gitas were sold. I think this is one of the highest books score in the whole of Go gram yatra preaching. And we exhausted the cow products we brought for sale. Few villagers personally met me asking me the ausadhi to get rid of the habit of drinking liquor which i referred to in the lecture. We mentioned two ausadhis go rasamrita ausadhi and nama ausadhi. They took this seriously. Four of the ten who took the medicines are visiting ISKCON chirala Sunday satsang program and two have completely given up the very difficult habit of liquor consumption within a week of consuming the two ausadhis and chanting everyday 2 rounds of japa. This again confirms that Mahaprabhu’s preaching movement as expertly programmed by Srila Prabhupada is the only quickest, easiest and surest path of deliverance from strong clutches of Maya for so many conditioned souls seriously aspiring liberation.
